Philip Fenerty of St Matthew's Avenue, Litherland is in the foreground - right

Philip Fenerty was involved in a lorry crash in about 1930 and badly damaged the bones in his left arm. Unfit for military service during the war, he joined the Home Guard. Philip's father, Joseph Fenerty was a well known Bootle athlete in his day.
